A Los Angeles estate owned for many years by the late agent-to-the-stars
is listing for $45 million.
On 1.6 acres in the Coldwater Canyon area, the main house is approximately 13,400 square feet and has seven bedrooms. There is also a separate, roughly 6,400-square-foot guesthouse with three bedrooms. All together, the estate has 20 bathrooms. There is also a pool, tennis court, golf simulator and a Moroccan-style spa with a steam room, Jacuzzi, and massage room, said listing agents Stephen Resnick and Jonathan Nash of Hilton & Hyland.
The seller is designer
who sold his denim company, J Brand, in 2014 and recently launched a fashion brand called L’Agence, he said. He bought the estate in 2011 for $8.2 million, according to public records. Terre Jacobs, his girlfriend whom he later married, designed the property, she said.
“I took it down to the studs and redid the floor plan,” said Ms. Jacobs, a fashion designer and interior designer who founded brands Feel the Piece and Tyler Jacobs. The remodel includes antique oak floors imported from France, antique Murano glass light fittings and a basement wine cellar with a ventilated cigar room.
The family planned to move in but never did, and the couple is now finalizing a divorce, Ms. Jacobs said. Mr. Rudes said he moved into the house in late October but is selling because “it’s too much house for one person.”
A longtime talent agent, Mr. Limato represented celebrities like Richard Gere and Steve Martin and was known for his annual Oscar party, said Richard Konigsberg, president of the Edward F. Limato Foundation. Mr. Limato’s estate, of which Mr. Konigsberg was the executor, sold the property after Mr. Limato’s death.
