Examples of PaaS include:

These are cloud services that provide instant computing infrastructure. It should be noted that this infrastructure can only be managed or provisioned over the internet.   • Public: Ideally, it’s the most common because it can be accessed from anywhere. You need to have the right application and login details. Examples include Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. 
  • Private: Specific users or companies usually use it for specified services such as data storage, hosting, etc. A private model has limited access. This means that it has more security layers compared to the public model. 
  • Hybrid: It’s a highly versatile model that combines the essential features of public and private models. Generally, it involves a combination of the two types of models over the internet. So users can conveniently access the appropriate resources they need.

Uses of Cloud Computing

There are so many uses of this internet resource service. Whether it’s an individual, group, or business, you can gain a lot from the different platforms. Some of the common uses include: 

  • Efficient communication and group communication: This usually facilitates by applications such as WhatsApp, Skype, and Zoom, among others 
  • Create cloud-native applications: You can quickly build and deploy or scale applications on the cloud; they may include web, mobile, and API. 
  • Store, back-up, and recovery data: It is highly effective in data storage. It’s not only cost-friendly, but the space is usually massive as well.  
  • Stream audio and video: Cloud-based applications can be used to access audio and video content from anywhere. This is due to the global-based design feature. 
  • Delivery of software on demand: With cloud computing, it’s now possible to deliver software on demand using SaaS. That’s why you can download or update the latest software version of different applications anytime and anywhere.
